This is one of my favorite Megadeth songs ever. I was so glad when they re-released it on the HIDDEN TREASURES comp/EP because then I didn't have to spend $$ on that stupid Beavis & Butthead album.

That's one of my favorite movie soundtracks. There are 1 or 2 tracks that require the skip button, but the rest are cool numbers. Aerosmith, Joan Jett, Danzig, Roy Orbison, Slayer, and The Bangles all put in great performances. Heck, I even dig LL's 'Going Back to Cali' when the mood is right.

No mention of Dio - Hide in the Rainbow (off of the Iron Eagle soundtrack) yet? I've always thought it was a really cool song.

Here's the tracklist for Vision Quest...what an ODD collection of artists. That Journey song debuted on the soundtrack as well.
Vision Quest - 1985
Track listing "Only the Young" - Journey "Change" - John Waite "Shout to the Top!" - The Style Council "Gambler" - Madonna "She's on the Zoom" - Don Henley (Backing vocals by Belinda Carlisle & Jane Wiedlin) "Hungry for Heaven" - Dio "Lunatic Fringe" - Red Rider "I'll Fall in Love Again" - Sammy Hagar "Hot Blooded" - Foreigner "Crazy for You" - Madonna

Grave .45 - Partytime (Zombie Version) from the Return Of The Living Dead soundtrack.
Crazy thing is the orginal version of the song is a brutal take on violence against children in society. The soundtrack version is a fun ode to the movie with the lyrics all changed.

fuuny 'cause I just bought this about 5 days ago on vinyl. this is definitely a "grab the needle before the Madonna song comes on next" kind of soundtrack.

So many bad-ass songs on that Judgment Night soundtrack. Same for the Last Action Hero soundtracks.
White Zombie/Rob Zombie has had some outstanding tracks on soundtracks—"I Am Hell" (Beavis and Butt-Head), "Feed the Gods" (Airheads), "The One" (Escape from L.A.), "Hands of Death" (X-Files), "Ratfinks, Suicide Tanks and Cannibal Girls" (Beavis and Butt-Head 2), "The Great American Nightmare" (Private Parts), "The Man Without Fear" (Daredevil), and a few more.
And you guys will hate it, but I love this tune:

I was thinking about that one. From T2
Also, "Welcome to the Jungle," was used for "The Dead Pool." Not sure if that counts or not.

There was a soundtrack for "Nightmare on Elm Street 3", but Dokken was not on the soundtrack. I had the Dream Warrior's single on tape, and I wish I still had it. I don't know if people remember, but "Into the Fire" was also in the movie. It was played at the beginning of the movie when they show the Elm Street House (which was made out of matchsticks/sitting in Patricia Arquette's bedroom). I've heard that when the Nightmare DVD's were released as a box set, "Into the Fire" was mysteriously deleted from the movie. This isn't unusual though, as movies like "Sixteen Candles" changed a bunch of the songs on the DVD release years later. I guess there was some contractual dispute regarding royalties.

I couldn't believe it when "Master of Puppets" appeared in "Old School". Knowing that Metallica were sticklers for not letting people use their songs in major motion pictures, it came as quite a shock. Of course, the song is not a part of the soundtrack, but it made the film.
