I've been getting into the first season of "Supernatural" on Netflix over the past week or so (yeah, I know, I should've been watching that show from the beginning, for whatever reason I waited this long to get on board...) - and in several of the episodes I've seen thus far the Winchester brothers have used metal musicians' names as aliases, including "James Hetfield" and "Nigel Tufnel."
Also, in the very first episode, when "Sam" sees "Dean's" music collection in the car he sez, "You really need to update your cassettes." When Dean asks "Why?" Sam sez "First, they're cassettes. Second, Metallica? Motorhead? Ted Nugent? It's like the Greatest Hits of Mullet Rock in here."

I was just about to post that! The category was "Songs about Superheroes," referring to their song "Thor (The Powerhead)."

Some cool rock songs I've heard at Phillies games...
Whenever Cliff Lee pitches, his intro music is 'Stranglehold' by Ted Nugent Chase Utley comes up to the plate with 'Kasmir" by Led Zeppelin Former Phillie Pat Burrell used to come to the plate with Dio's 'Holy Diver'.

Guess this hasn't aired yet, but I'll be keeping an eye out for it. My youngest still watches 'Bubble Guppies'.
Quote :
According to RollingStone.com, Ozzy Osbourne will guest star on Nickelodeon's popular preschool series "Bubble Guppies" as Sid Fishy, a "rock and roll fish who loves being rotten."
Osbourne told RollingStone.com that he accepted the offer to star in the series because of his 2-year-old granddaughter Pearl. "The whole reason I did the show was for Pearl," said the singer. "She has Nick Jr. on 24/7. I can't wait to see her reaction when she hears my voice come from Sid Fishy's mouth."

Ozzy is a grandfather. The mind boggles.
On topic:
Caught the first episode of a new History Channel series this past weekend called "The Hunt," which follows a couple of Alaskan hunting parties on their quest to bag a Kodiak bear. The show's narrator is none other than James Hetfield. (I guess Ted Nugent wasn't available?)

My kids were watching some new game show on Nick that kids guess what will happen next in a videoclip (can't remember the name of the show).... one of the clips was a guy walking by trash cans and someone in an Eddie mask (Killers mask) jumps out of a trash can to scare the guy

I was watching the cheesy '80s action flick "American Ninja" over the weekend on Netflix, which takes place in and around a U.S. Army base in the Philippines. I noticed a KISS "Animalize" poster on the wall in the enlisted men's barracks, though oddly the band member's faces were obscured by stickers.

Well, I'd never seen "Zombieland" before. It aired on AMC (or SciFi, I don't actually remember) and the opening credits had "For Whom the Bell Tolls" by Metallica playing.

I remember that now and thought it was cool. I thought that movie would suck and surprisingly I liked it.

A good friend of mine recommended me to see it, citing that it was really good. I trusted her because I'd heard about the critical acclaim the movie held and I knew she had a knack for picking out things I would most likely stay along with for the ride, so I did and I greatly enjoyed it. I wish I could find it on DVD because it's not streaming on Netflix right now.

Well, that was out of the blue!
Watching Fox Sports NFL pre-game show and they went to Rob Riggle's picks. He won the pick contest last year so to celebrate he hired Steel Panther to make a video called "Riggle Won". I'm sure it will show up on YouTube eventually.
And...there it is...
