| My kids were watching "Big Time Rush" (a Nickelodeon sit-com ala "iCarly" about the wacky misadventures of an aspiring boy band) over the weekend and Lita Ford made a surprise appearance during a recording studio scene. She played a riff on her guitar that blew one of the boys across the room. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| The other night, the kids and I watched Spongebob and the music was supplied by Pantera of all people. The premise was Sandy the squirell was preparing for winter hibernation, but before she did, she played all these extreme sports with Spongebob to tire herself out. During all the extreme spots sequences, Pantera (minus Phil's vocals) played in the background. It was basically just Dime squealling and squawking on his axe with some drumbeats supplied by Vinnie. Thought that was kinda cool though. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | I heard bits of Quiet Riot's "Metal Health" and Sepultura's "Dead Embryonic Cells" in the Vin Diesel flick "Babylon A.D." last night. Odd combo.
No songs by Babylon A.D. though. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

No songs by Babylon A.D. though. I always think that's funny when a movie with the same title as a band or a song doesn't utilize that opportunity. Granted most wouldn't know if something from Babylon A.D was used in a movie, but it would be cool anyways. I remember being kind of pissed when TPTB behind the movie Judge Dredd didn't use "I Am the Law" by Anthrax. Considering how piss poor that movie was it would have only helped their cause. | |

I read an interview with Scott Ian years ago where he said the band was surprised that they never heard from the Dredd movie people about using the song in the film... then they saw the movie, and were glad they didn't. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

That almost sounds exactly like an interview with Jon Schaeffer that I read. It was in regards to that lame ass Spawn movie and how they didn't ask to use any music from DARK SAGA. I remember at one time, Todd MacFarlane was in talks with KISS to use some music from the CARNIVAL OF SOULS sessions (the album had been sitting on the shelf for a while by this point cuz the Reunion Tour was on) for the "Spawn" movie but that didn't pan out either. Eric Singer mentioned it during his Q&A at one of the KISS Expos I went to back then. He said they were interested in using either "Hate" or "In My Head" for the soundtrack. I guess once they decided to go the "metal dudes working with techno dudes" mashup/remix concept that ended up being the movie soundtrack, neither KISS nor Iced Earth made the cut. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| Sebastian Bach showed up in an episode of Spongebob the other night, playing Triton, the son of King Neptune (voiced by J. Peterman). _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| I used to watch SPIKE TV and on the biker rebuild shows, they would play FU MANCHU from the King of The Road LP or earlier.
Fu Manchu and Nebula were also played on those half hour shows I seen on different stations where it was slow motion snowboarding or skiing down steep fresh powder mountains.
I read or heard Alice Cooper likes old Chinese martial arts movies to watch while on tour, and the cheezier the better? Well, this past year I should not have been surprised when I was watching a few low budget ones really late at night, made in the early 1970s, that sampled / used in ther soundtracks, parts from Halo Of Flies, the hanging/swirly part at the end of Killer, I Love The Dead, Black Ju Ju, etc
