Pushking - "The World As We Know It" (check out the guest list)

Holy crap! Just found this review on sleazeroxx. Check out the guest lineup!

Never heard of them but that's quite the guest list.

Yeah, that's what I thought too.

I want to know how it sounds. I don't know that I've ever seen such a stellar list of guest musicians before. Even the Avantasia releases don't have that many famous guests on one album as far as I know.

I havent heard this particular album, but everything Pushking released prior to that has been very average melodic hard rock. Their debut has been their best and is fetching big bucks on eBay now, but still nothing to write home about I'm afraid.

That guest list is ridiculous! How do they possibly have enough pull to get all those guys to cooperate? I mean, it's not like the people on that list aren't busy doing music or other projects of their own.

Isn't too hard to Email your stuff over the inter-web thingy.

I have even auditioned for a band by being emailed chord progressions and vocal melodies and then email what I come up with back to them.

I understand that part of it, I just don't understand WHY they would participate in a project like this, unless maybe they are like me and will take just about any opportunity to make music.

Never heard of'em but that is indeed quite an impressive list of guests... I mean, geez, was there any room left for the actual band members to play on it at all?

Weird.

I was listening to Hair Nation last night and the dj mentioned this album and all of the special guests. And that's not the first time I've noticed that happen. We post or discuss something, then I hear a a dj on sattellite radio talking about it. Probably just a crazy coincidence, but I wonder if he/they lurk around here.

Or maybe my posts are being monitored by someone , right Troublemagnet?
