Dallas, I have friends that spend $150 to $200 a week on beer, and they don't understand how I can buy so many CDs. Haha. As long as you're being responsible, paying your bills and stuff, who cares. It's better than buying beer. =)

I'd rather spend $200 on music every month than anything else and I'm not a big drinker so thankfully my money is being well spent

I went to Movie Trading Company just to get a replacement copy of Robocop and decided to browse just one section of the rock area and ended up browsing the entire area and even checked the metal section (though most of the metal is in the rock section):
Lacuna Coil-In A Reverie (used-$5.99) Black Sabbath-Mob Rules (used-$7.99) Fates Warning-Perfect Symmetry (used-$9.99): With all the talk about this album I went ahead and got it. Could of gotten a new copy for $8.99 but opted for the used 2 CD/DVD version. Blind Guardian-Somewhere Far Beyond (new-$11.99) Blind Guardian-Imaginations From The Other Side (new-$11.99)
Then I poncied over to Half Price Books to browse the cheap section:
$1 Out Of The Darkness-Midnight Sydicate (dark ambient goth instrumentals-this would be good for relaxing music) Michael Rowe-It's For You The Choir-Kisses And Killers The Choir-Speckled Bird Rodney Dangerfield-No Respect
$1.98 In The Arms Of War-s/t (melodic death metal, not bad for a $2 though) Sacred Oath-s/t (some true power metal) West Wall-Blitzkrieg Symphony #1 (some good sounding old school death metal) A-Ha-Burning Hight And Low (nothing like some chessey 80s pop) Screaming Trees-Sweet Oblivion The Church-Sometime Anywhere
I couldn't help myself, I looked in the regular priced used CDs:
Loudness-On The Prowl
That Screaming Trees albums is excellent! I'd recommend that one and Dust as their best.

Distorted Wonderland - S/T
Band members met while doing background vox on Hardcore Superstar's S/T.
This album blows the last two HS albums completely out of the water. Sleazeroxx ranked it #3 for 2010 and I can see why.

I love it...not as abrasive as the earlier stuff, but a solid listen all the way through (I've owned it before)...

Devlab is a weird one. Best listened to with good headphones, while reading or something. Lots of strange things can be heard with good headphones.

Yeah, that's a hard one to find used. I actually gave up on finding it used and found the double CD with The Beginning at a decent price.

I found the remastered Melissa w/ the DVD yesterday for $12...but I did not get it so I could get those Overkill discs instead...I'm playing the odds that it'll still be there next time.

My favorite are the ones who takes these big expensive vacations or cruises (and never seem to really enjoy them) but act like it is insane to spend more than 25.00+ on a rare cd. The thing that drives me crazy is when they want to debate it with the argument that all of it can be had for free on internet - "why buy it". Worse thing is these are music fans too.
From secondspin Vandals - Peace Thru Vandalism/When In Rome... Necros - Tangled Up/Live Or Else D.O.A. - Dawning Of A New Error
from amazon Southgang - Tainted Angel
Also got a Styx - The Grand Illusion long sleeve from Goodwill

Nice ones Locky! I have the CD version of that "Idol" single.
Rat Skates' "Born in the Basement" is a cool documentary too, it makes a nice companion piece to the "Batmen: The Return" doc that Overkill included on the WRECKING EVERYTHING live DVD.
