I'm a casual fan of both, but I guess if I'm choosing, I'd go with the Scorps. More familiar with their music.

Scorpions were very influential, and Accept was heavily inspired by them as they were at the top of the still emerging German hard rock scene.
I like Accept more as a band, but Lovedrive is my favorite album out of their discographies.

Accept, no contest. They were (are) more consistent IMO, and I just prefer their sound more.

I like the scorpions over accept...however I feel that accept has stayed truer to the metal sound than the scorpions. Scorpions put out some real crap over the years while accept has rocked hard on every single album.

I wish the poll percentage thing existed for this one - Anyways, I was listening to this horrible interview....about a month ago A mom, over the radio, coast to coast am, speaking about her kidnapped son....Johnny Gosch... And photos that were released...bound and gagged....don't look it up. The 2 hour interview really threw me for a loop...blah blah.... I was listening to the Scorps..."Bad Boys Running Wild" today... The lyrics.....hint....at abduction...or at least pimps stepping in.... And the song always seemed somewhat dark - to me.

Accept have always been, looked and sounded "more" metal to me. Scorps have gone mellower over the years, thus losing much of their aggression in favor of happier and more radio friendly anthems.

Scorpions for me, I love all their albums, but just based on Blackout alone I would pick the Scorpions.

Old thread. But I found this interesting personally.
I like both bands, but am not a big fan of either. I own exactly 2 CDs by both bands. I've seen Scorpions live and enjoyed it, so I'm leaning towards them, but I also know Accept might have more recent material I would enjoy, but just haven't gotten into (Tornillo era).
Then again, I would probably enjoy 70's Scorpions a lot too, (and do enjoy from what little I've heard), so I guess I am sticking with the Scorps. Both vocalists are unique, and have their strenghts, though personally Meine to me sounds "better". Udo at times sounds like he is about to die.
I also got my first Scorpions disc (Love at First Sting) a little bit before any Accept, so I know them better.
