As I just re-bought The Rods' "Wild Dogs" what do you people think of this classic molten american metal band? I think they are underrated as all hell seeing that in their time they put out some stellar albums. I am particularly found of "Wild Dogs" myself - being such a simple but effective hard'n'heavy metal album. These guys don't get much of mention when discussing classic US metal which I think is a shame.

I also like their earlier album and from the later ones "Let Them Eat Metal" is just a great banger.

I agree that they are a hugely underrated, classic band. "Wild Dogs" is probably my favorite as well and sports a vicious cover.

Yeah - totally agree with that. Funny that is has been re-released recently by Cherry Red Records/Lemon Records again after the High Vaultage press got scarce. This album deserves it too. The title track is a massive rocker! Probably my favourite cut from that album!

I like the drumming of Carl a lot. Simple but effective and FULL of power. Good stuff.

I found "Let Them Eat Metal" in a four for a dollar bin a few years back. I then found Wild Dogs for a couple bucks earlier this year. I thought "Let Them Eat Metal" was pretty good, but man did "Wild Dogs" blow me away. A killer record all the way through.
