| Classic Rock Magazine have been talking them up for months, I am looking forward to hearing them not familiar with Joe Bonamassa's work, only heard of his name, he is somewhat of a big deal in U.K. | |

| This has been news for a long time. I'm interested, not sure if it's actually gonna be good though. I don't like the two songs I've heard. - manny wrote:

I'm the same. Does this guy sell records in the UK or is it just Classic Rock that loves him so much? I swear, by reading CR, you'd think Bonamassa, Thunder and Gun are three of the biggest and greatest rock 'n' roll acts of all time. Never heard of Joe or Gun until reading CR and Thunder was a name I rarely came across.

Thunder are not bad band and had hit in the States with 'Dirty Love' and Gun where and I guess are back together and are a great band, check out the CD 'Taking On the World'

| I hear Joe Bonamassa on the blues station every now & then. What I heard was ok, but nothing that made me jump up and shout his praises. I think he gets allot of recognition for his relativley young age (33) and being so proficient in playing the blues. He came on the scene right after kids like Kenny Wayne Sheppard & Jonny Lang were getting all the press for being 13 years old and playing like a reincarnated SRV. Joe missed the boat in the States by about 2 or 3 years. As for the rest of 'em, well, cool I guess. I know I'm in the minority here, but Glen Hughes singing bores me. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Is he British, by any chance? Cuz British rock magazines have a habit of pumping up nearly every home grown artist as "the next big thing" even if they never amount to a squirt of p*ss, just because they're British. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| Surprisingly, he's actually American. Speaking of Gun, I used to listen to the syndicated show Rock Over London back in the day and they would push these guys like crazy. I liked that album a lot so it was cool by me. In fact I may have to start checking out Classic Rock Magazine, because I like Thunder quite a bit too.
Not real fond of the name Black Country Communion, but willing to see what they offer.

From what I read, both Hughes & Bonham come from Black Country(?), England and they were gonna just be called Black Country. The "Communion" was added on when another band had the name already. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Black Country is a an area that isn't exactly defined, it's neither a town, city, county, state; just an area, some dummy said it was the home town of Bonham and Plant on wikipedia. Pretty obvious that's what they named the band after. - Metal Misfit wrote:

I wouldn't say he's that well known. I would think he's more well known in the US than here. I do like his version of 'Stop' though. Thunder released a great song in 'Dirty Love' but I haven't heard much more of their stuff.
