Rank Michael Schenker among guitar greats!

How would you rank Michael Schenker among the elite in the metal guitar world? Having been listening the the UFO cds with Michael in them I think he was ahead of his time back then.

He is a usual suspect in my top 3

Almost every person I grew up playing music with was influenced by him and we did our share of butchering UFO songs till we learned.

He'd be in one of the top 30 for sure for me. Exactly where in that top 30 I couldn't tell you. A great guitarist indeed and influenced countless guitarists.

I am with Lurdi, he would in my top 30, if not higher the guy is incredible

I like MS a lot, he is just a great guitarist to amazing sometimes. i can say this about 100 other guitar players as well...

If only for influence he would certainly be up there. He's sort of like Lou Reed in that less people heard him for the period, but they all started bands that continued the wave of influence. In a lot of contexts, I am really hesitant to rank players, so dunno what I can do apart from that....

Are you in the Rio Linda? I'm in the Elverta,ya know, upper class Rio Lindans(as Gold River to Rancho) .......It was in another thread that I mentioned Schenker's influence.
