If Alter Bridge was around during the birth of metal... they would have been a forgotten footnote. I agree.

I said "if" they were there... and for mediocre music they sure have some of the most memorable iconic songs of all time. How do you think people will remember your music?

I just dont hear it sorry. I consider myself very picky when it comes to music. If it doesnt hit me right away Im done with it. It has to blow my mind pretty much. Im not ok with it just being ok...

I said "if" they were there... and for mediocre music they sure have some of the most memorable iconic songs of all time. How do you think people will remember your music? Have you ever told your child "who cares what others think?" Same goes for music. If you like something that someone else doesnt, does it really matter? I agree they have some great songs but they have just as many bad songs IMO. What do you mean by people remembering my music? If you mean by the music I write then that is just stupid. If you mean by the bands I love, well they have all left there mark some way or the other. Can you tell me how many modern bands out there who could have been huge in the 70's? Thats the kind of music I get when I hear AB...

| When I brought up Led Zeppelin, I didn't actually want to compare the two bands. I actually like Led Zep, as opposed to Alter Bridge. I just thought they are both metal to me, but not only metal. As in not straight forward true metal. Just kind of heavy, among other things.
I also think Linkin Park is kind of metal.

Well yeah... if you think they are mediocre you gotta look at youself and see if you can do better. What influence and status will your music have after you're gone? Say what you will about LZ, they have left a legendary mark on the history of rock. Not to mention some amazing, timeless music.

Forget the decade thing... what influence and status will your music have after you're gone? Say what you will about LZ, they have left a legendary mark on the history of rock. Not to mention some amazing, timeless music. I agree but you are comparing someone who has hopes and dreams to a band that is legendary. That makes no sense to me.

Well until you can do better... i don't see how you can criticize their greatness in rock history.
