If you google it, most places seem to be reporting now that it was indeed a hoax. However, these are also the same places that were reporting yesterday that Mr. Biscuits had passed over to the other side. So it seems to me that they are just as anxious to report a hoax just as they were to spread a death notice.

I guess we'll have to wait and see a live video of Chuck on YouTube dispelling the rumors. Or a tearful message from the Widow Biscuits thanking fans for their support.

Like I posted earlier, Chuck seems kinda obscure & random, but he's been out of the spot-light for so long that it seemed feasible and apparently noone really cared enough to check the source.

Unlike, for instance, someone like Tommy Lee. He's too well-known and in the media too often for someone to pick up a blurb on Facebook about the rumors of his demise and pass it along as gospel truth.

And yes, I know there are plenty of you out there that wish death upon Tommy Lee. To the best of my knowledge, he's alive & well and giving your sister a case of the crabs as we speak.

reports that rumours of the demise of Chuck Biscuits have evidently
been greatly exaggerated. Earlier today, everyone from AbsolutePunk.net
to Entertainment Weekly reported that the former D.O.A. drummer--who
left the music business in 1999--has died of throat cancer on October
24 after a long illness.


The "death" was reported by blogger James Greene Jr., who
wrote that he had spent the past six months corresponding via e-mail
with Biscuits and his wife. In the hours after the story went viral,
Greene's website, www.jgtwo.wordpress.com was bombarded with posts demanding proof of the death.


The Straight contacted Biscuit's former bandmate Joey Keithley,
singer-guitarist of D.O.A.. He confirmed that Biscuits is very much
alive.


In the meantime, Greene has evidently accepted that he was the
victim of an elaborate prank. On his Website, he wrote the following
after being bashed repeatedly for posting the death notice despite
having nothing to go on except for emails from people purporting to be
Biscuits and his wife.


Greene wrote: How do you "check hard facts" or "verify"
anything about a guy who went off grid ten years ago and the people who
allegedly knew him best won't return your e-mails? I tried, you guys, I
really fuckin' tried. I spent a good chunk of '08 searching for Chuck
and info on Chuck. All I got was Bill Goddamn Stevenson. No one was
talking.

Fox news is the only channel to represent the non-liberal point of view. It is much more fair than the others imo...

I think all the cable news channels are crap, but Fox and MSNBC who represent the opposite viewpoints are the worst of the worse.

The other channels are big government backers... garbage. To be honest i hate all news channels because they thrive on tragedy and negativity but the liberal ones take the cake.

I have a feeling it is... there was never any report of Chuck having cancer to begin with when you think about it.

You would think he'd have other things to report about than a retired punk drummer.

Like someone else said it seems strange that someone would create a hoax about a drummer that is not really known to the mainstream press.
