ZZ Top/Aerosmith concert (just got back)

Got to see ZZ and Aerosmith for the first time ever for either band tonight in Burgettestown PA. What can I say they both sounded freaking amazing. ZZ was so clear sounding and sounded no older than the time they recorded the tunes they played. That says a lot about them.

Aerosmith played some hits and all of Toys in the Attic, which was great but I really wanted to hear Angel since it was the first song I eve rheard by them (I was a late bloomer for them I guess), but to no avail. Oh well they were fantastic, and Steve Tyler is so physical on stage, isnt he 61???? But he looked like he was 40 and sounded like he did back in the day as well.

Just shows hte longevity of these bands. What a great show

Sounds like a great gig. I caught ZZ Top a few weeks ago and they are one of the most enjoyable live bands I've ever seen. Would love to see Aerosmith though - especially if they're playing all of Toys In The Attic!

As a comedian once said, Areosmith needs to get back on drugs to come up with kick ass songs like they did when they were high. No more MTV crappy music.

Easy Wicked Rick, I didnt say it was my favorite song, but it was my first song I ever heard from them and I was probably 13 then. It would have been very nostalgic to catch that song

Anyhow, if you get a chance check out the show if they come by, you will love it, and the live and longer version of Toys in the Attic is priceless. Very special show, hope you can get to see them.

I will however warn you that they do plan on changing albums during the tour, they are speculating that they may do Toys, then after awhile they may do Rocks, or Get Your Wings. I checked into tickets to this one. OUCH!!

I love both bands, but I can't see spending $250 to see any live show.

I cant blame you, I actually bought Lawn Seats, which I am not sure if they are available at all venues, but here we have a large lawn just after the pavilion that is actually great viewing as well and sounds just as good.

I bought those and it was 42$, I did the same for the upcoming Def Leppard concert coming July 10th, and it cost 35$. I can afford stuff like that on occasion but otherwise I will not pay that amount of money esp in this economy!
