Sanctuary Vocals or Nevermore Vocals?

Which Warrel Dane vocals do you prefer?

I really think Warrel should re-record both Sanctuary albums as Nevermore. =)

I can't stand Nevermore because of Warrell's vocals!!!

Sanctuary! He sounded so much better then.

i like the sanctuary vocals but the halford-esque scream can get a bit much in every song....

with nevermore i think it sounds a little more diverse and interesting...

I love the Sanctuary-esque scream at the end of This Godless Endeavor song

Tough call . I like them both but I guess I'm leaning more towards Nevermore

Love Sanctuary! I think I have only heard one Nevermore album - not my thing.

I like Sanctuary, but the high screams on every song wear on my nerves after awhile. It the same reason I can't take King Diamond. Good in small doses.

Nevermore has more diversity. I can listen over and over again and not get bored.

Can't pick between the two. I enjoy both styles used in the two bands.

me too, i've always said this. he's a good singer & simply wasting a great range like that. he should take full advantage of his capabilities.

I like both bands but I prefer Sanctuary. Nevermore is a decent band but their discography has been kinda hit or miss for me. I love DEAD HEART IN A DEAD WORLD and THIS GODLESS ENDEAVOR but can't really get into the rest of 'em.

I say Sanctuary. I like Nevermore, but they only had one really great album (Dreaming Neon Black) and the rest were just ok. Sanctuary were awesome, though.

Definitely Sanctuary. Nevermore got such good press, I had high hopes, but I was really disappointed in their first release, and haven't revisited since.

SAHB Healer, you should check out all the other Nevermore releases, i do agree that their debut album isn't that impressive upon first listen (i love it now though), they their other albums are far superior.....

Haven't heard much Sanctuary, but I love Warrel Dane so it's hard for me to choose. I like the high pitched vocals, but his voice is so damn sharp it just pierces your ears... not to mention, he's profesionally trained now and his voice is incredible. So I guess I have to go with what others have said.. I prefer Nevermore, but I would like to hear some high falsetto screams here and there.

Nevermore. I like the Sanctuary style vocals, but I think the cacophony style vocals that are present in Nevermore are fantastic.
