Band names that hurt the band's record sales?

Some bands just had some of the worst name ideas ever which kept people from listening to them.

Do you have any band names that kept you from listening or people you know from listening?

The 2 I would say are:

Satan (For obvious reasons) and Killer Dwarfs

These two bands names turn people off and their music doesn't sound like their name would make you think they sound. You would think the Dwarfs were a punk band with a name with that. And I love the Dwarfs.

Bitch

...your album was not gonna get rack space in Wal-Mart with that name.

Vicious Rumors - a great power metal band with a glam sounding name.

Satan are a great band! Never kept me from listening or buying.

I usually don't pay attention to band names. Its the music that counts for me.

I’m sure to a certain extent, the name Suicidal Tendencies made some parents prohibit their kids to buy, and some music venues didn’t want anything to do with them.

There were a lot of terribly named glam/sleaze/hair bands.

Off the top of my head, "The Throbs" was a good band with a bad name.

I remember listening to a college radio show playing underground rock.
They announced the local shows and the bands.
One band had a horrible name and the DJ said - who’d see a band with that name ?
I always remembered that. SATAN gets my vote. Idiotic. Absolutely idiotic.

I mean, even if Satan DID play satanic black metal, the band name would still be a little too on the nose.

It's just not a good name no matter what.

I always thought "Tygers Of Pan Tang" was a pretty dumb name

I doubt those bands sold many albums regardless.

AC made SOD sound like elite jazz musicians. Kids in high school probably just bought the albums for the name alone.

PC69 was the first band I thought of too.  Such great music but such a stupid, juvenile name. You'd never guess what a talented band they are both instrumentally and vocally based on the ridiculous name.
