So I like the concept of this thread (despite it not having the FF endorsement) so let's keep it going; using only song lyrics "commonly known" to most hard rock/metalheads (Britny Fox was a fair entry even though I don't recognize that particular lyric).  In other words, no lyrics by obscure bands no one has heard of.

I'll go next:

We had that going for a while in the Fun and Games section, kinda dropped off but was fun for a while.

Post the actual song for an answer - how about that as an idea -

Tull is one of the few bands where I actually pay attention to lyrics because Ian Anderson writes some excellent ones.

BTW, thanks for that entry in the thread.  It provided the impetus for me to create my own Best Of Styx comp.  Right now I'm ripping Pieces of Eight; it's hard for me to believe that album is over 40 years old.  Holy crap I'm an old fart. 

Styx really had some thoughtful lyrics if you could get away from Babe and Lady and tons of musical talent.

I've never quite figured out what Suite: Madame Blue was about.  I remember the amusement park I worked at at the time had several lines from the song painted on a bridge over a creek and seemed to portray the song as being about America.  And some of the lyrics DO seem to point in that direction but if that's the case the song seems more like an indictment as opposed to a celebration of the country.

Any thoughts?
