What SPORTS Did You Watch Today? - 2017

^^^ That was quite a game.

I know I officially hate the Cubs when I find myself rooting for "The Evil Empire" to stomp them.

Actually it's not so much the Cubs team as it is Joe Maddon (and now Jason Heywood - I loved watching "J-Hey" fail miserably last year after snubbing the Cardinals but this year he's doing much better so I finally have a Cub player to hate).

Oh, and I hate that stupid, crooked-hat-wearing Pedro Strop out of their pen too; WTF is up with that look? But other than that I still don't actually hate the Chicago Cubs players overall. I can feel it growing though; it started with Maddon and now it's spreading out to certain players. It's only a matter of time until I root for this whole self-entitled bunch to get their collective asses kicked.

Watched the Penguins slog through the game against the Caps and lose 5-2. My god, talk about a total lack of energy.

Currently watching the Cards and Marlins.

Watched the Penguins eliminate the Capitals once again, 2-0. After looking a bit shaky the last couple games, Fleury was solid this time around.

First time the Cardinals have won consecutive road games after trailing by 4+ runs since 1935.

And my Pirates are floundering away, getting swept by the Dodgers (although I haven't caught any West Coast games yet).

Pirates @ Diamondbacks

Just watched the Braves beat the Marlins 8 to 3.

The Front Office of the Pirates should be ashamed of their selves for the team they have fielded. I realize they couldn't predict Marte's suspension, Kang's legal troubles, and Taillon's cancer diagnosis, however they have no back up for anything. The team their fielding is pathetic. They are currently losing 10-3 and looking horrible while doing it

Cards lost 3-2 thanks to Brett "Cecil The Seasick Sea Serpent". 

Geez this guy sucks.  Lefthanders are hitting .468 off him and have 3 homers.  We're paying this clown $7 mil/year for four years.   I could suck just as bad for half that amount.

The final of the Pirates/Diamondback's game was 11-4. Luckily for the Pirates, the Penguins are doing well so they're keeping all the attention on them.

Watching the Cubs @ Cardinals.

This is weird. Fox Sports 1 is carrying the local Fox Sports Midwest feed so the nation is hearing our local announcers. I've never seen Fox do that before.

Cards won today 5-3. And no sign of Cecil "The Seasick Sea Serpent" which is a good thing.

Watched the Penguins lose 2-1 to the Senators in overtime.

Cubs @ Cardinals

Cards won 5-0. First time the Cards have won a series against the Cubs in St. Louis since 2015.

Pirates @ Diamondbacks. Pirates are currently winning 4-3 in the 6th.

Watched the Penguins beat the Senators 1-0 on Phil Kessel's late third period goal. Series is tied 1-1 going to Ottawa on Wednesday.

Nationals @ Pirates. The Pirates are losing 6-1 in the bottom of the 7th.

Red Sox @ Cardinals

3-2 Cardinals in the 4th.

It's gotten. Interesting in the Pirate game. The Pirates were able to load the bases with no one out and Jose Osuna comes up and hits a routine double play ground ball. A throwing error by Zimmerman allows 2 runs to score and opening up another a few more hits to allow the Pirates to climb within 2 runs. 6-4 Nat's now.
