25 years Ago today...

25 Years ago today Van Halen released OU812 and finally cleared up what is and is not love. This album has since gone 4x platinum.

Frehley's Comet released Second Sighting and reached #81 on the billboard charts.

To be honest, I don't feel like we truly got some clarification on that troubling question about love until Haddaway put out his 1993 single.

Well Nazareth warned us that "Love Hurts" in 1975 which I am sure prompted the J. Geils Band to inform the world that "Love Stinks".

Rob Halford taught us Love Bites and we all agreed at the time. Of course in hindsight, we're not sure we should have agreed with him.

Very true, but I feel that Haddaway was coming from a deeper place, philosophically. Coverdale, like many, demanded a black-and-white answer to his predicament - is it, or is it NOT? Haddaway, on the other hand, went into the beef of the subject and questioned the very NATURE - what IS love? After all, we have to know our foundation before we can build a sturdy house upon it.
