Thanks - I was visiting friends and before I flew out, they asked if I wanted to see Dio during my visit. That was a no brainer answer!

I really should go pay my respects sometime when I'm in LA. I was just thinking the other day about how it was coming up on two years since his death. Made me realize that I don't think there is any other musical artist who I consistently listen to their output. I doubt more than a week goes by that I don't listen to something of his. Been that way for 25+ years now. Never to be forgotten.

Seems like yesterday. It's weird how a man you never met in person can affect your life. Being such a big fan of Dio's work with Sabbath, Rainbow and solo, I listen to his music quite often.

Go next time you are in LA - it's impressive. The spot next to his was open - I am guessing that it's for Wendy.

I thought it was very sad when Peter Steel died that year but it was a travesty when we lost perhaps the greatest metal god EVER!

Damn, I can't believe it's already been 2 years. Time really does fly.

Really? My granpa and great-granma are buried there, along with a bunch of other relatives and one young friend. I pass by it every morning to work with a clear view by the freeway. Next time I visit gramps, I'm gonna go by and visit Ronnie too.

Still remember the Iron Maiden show I went to in Cleveland the summer after RJD passed. The venue was playing music over the sound system between bands and one of Dio's tunes came on. The crowd went mostly silent and applauded at the end of the song. I thought that was kinda cool; the guy had such an impact on music that a recording could garner crowd applause.
