A friend and I are going to be hitchhiking the US from the west coast to the east coast during the summer of 2012 from around the months of May to August or September. If anyone could maybe let us stay a night or two if we pass somewhere near you city it would be ultra appreciated and it would be really rad to meet some more of you guys in person. Ive hitchhiked thru California and Mexico before when I used to stay in Carmen Serdan during the summers, its not as bad as people think. 'Houselessness' is a regular lifestyle that alot of people enjoy. We're mostly planning on just walking and ride sharing and maybe taking a train or two not really thumbing for rides primarily. Im still getting a Oregon conceal and carry firearm permit before I leave though.

I believe its legal as long as you are on a off-ramp to an interstate while soliciting, but you may be right. CT is our destination though and its a really really small state so we probably wont have to hitch at all.

Let me give you another idea. When I was in college I bought a 1969 Dodge Dart for a hundred bucks. I changed the oil & myself & my best friend hopped in the car & drove all the way around the country in it. We slept in the car most of the time, ate cold ravioli & beanie-weenies straight out of the can. We packed some clothes & enough money for a plane ticket home if the car blew up on us. It didn't. Hell, I still have it!! It is still the coolest thing I have ever done in my life!

I live on a 2 bedroom apt with 6 people on it, so I can put more people on it. LOL.

When you go around check what towns are dangerous and evade going there. For example here on NJ "NEWARK" is not a place I go to, my father got robed and beat up seriously once.

It would be nice if you come here around helloween, since the MISFITS do a nice concert on that day
