hey everyone

I was listening to a cd today while driving the S.F Bay area and realized something interesting, at least to my ears. Three songs came on in a row that showcased what that particular singer brought to the table. The cd was "Triumph & Agony" by Warlock. The singer was Doro. The three songs were "I rule the ruins", "Kiss of death" and "Make time for love"

Pick three songs that are in order that give a good example of a certain singer's talent. For example regarding Doro, each song listed above has a different approach to her delivery. The wailing shrieky style (ruins), the power and attitude (kiss), and the pretty emotional style (love) Basicily a good representation of what she does.

Good topic, James. The first that comes to mind for me would be Fight's "War Of Words" album. The first 3 tracks: Into The Pit; Nailed To The Gun; and, Life In Black all have Halford showing a different style/ approach to singing.

Does it have to be from just one album?

Scorpions - Blackout
The second half of the album has four completely different songs in a row.

Dynamite - Fast paced, aggressive song
Arizona - Mid paced commercial rock song
China White - Practically a doom metal song, I wonder what Tony Iommi thought when he first heard it
When the Smoke is Going Down - A ballad (after all, what's a Scorpions album without a ballad?)

That's four, instead of three, but I think you get the point.

Bon Scott on AC/DC's Powerage: Rock n Roll Damnation, Down Payment Blues, and Gimme a Bullet

Ian Gillan with Deep Purple-In Rock: Speed King, Bloodsucker, and Child In Time

Jim Morrison on the Doors self titled debut: Break On through, Soul Kitchen and the Crystal Ship

any Queen prior to 1980, Freddie Mercury could sing anything and make it sound good.
