| I remember being in Texas doing some spring break shows down on South Padre Island in 1985. Went to a local record shop and seen "Night Of The Crime" by Icon and put down the cash for the tape. I had really dug the s/t debut and was actually pissed off hearing all the keyboards at that time. I have grown to dig this album over the years. | |

I've listened to that one a few times since I bought it, I keep hoping it's going to really "kick in" for me...but it hasn't happened. I blame the songwriting. It sounds good while it's playing, but it vanishes from my mind the second it's over. Each song has little instrumental parts that I think are good, but as a whole nothing all that memorable. However, the older Testament songs stick in your head like glue (that's a compliment). |

| Judas priest: angel of retribution. Testament: the formation of damnation. Kreator: hoardes of chaos. Metallica: death magnetic (it's just better then st anger, really). Guns n roses: chinese democracy Iron maiden: a matter of life and death. Those albums are nothing but fillers in my library... | |

| I agree with that Communic being disappointing. I love Waves of Visual Decay but Payment just bores me. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Another album I was really disappointed in at the time was Dio-Angry Machines and these is an easy target but Raven-The Pack Is Back, the cover showed have been a give away. | |

| Mortification - Silver Cord.... Black Sabbath - Born Again
Both lp's have grown on me over the years, but were a let down when they were released.
Judas Priest - Turbo Extol - Blueprint Dives
Still don't like these.

Judas Priest - Turbo
Still don't like these. I used to hate 'Turbo' but now I think it is a classic Priest album, just a very cool album with some fun songs.

| The last two Iced Earth CDs have pretty much left me cold. Going farther back, lemme see... didn't care for KISS' PSYCHO CIRCUS much at all. Or W.A.S.P.'s K.F.D. Warrior Soul's CHILL PILL was kind of a stiff. Now I know they did it that way on purpose but that doesn't make the album any easier to listen to. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| Testament - Formation of Dangnation (unmemorable, no hooks, sterile)
Judas Priest - Nostradangnus (too drawn out, and where is the band? Rob sounds fantastic, to bad the band forgot to show up)
Iced Earth - Crucible of Man (really looked forward to this but it just doesn't have the energy or something, but I still dig it, just not as much as I had hoped)
Blind Guardian - a night at the opera & a twist in the myth (both albums were HIGH on my eager to get list, but they are both way to dense and jumbled for me, the jumbliness ruined this band for me)
Solitude Aeturnus - Alone (just doesn't have the hooks like the other albums did, kind of forgettable and nothing that made me want to pull it out over and over like the previous albums did, thanks goodness that Rob is in Candlemass now)
