- Being a teacher, my wife ordered and received four Ayn Rand books for free from the Ayn Rand Institute. Anthem seems to be the only one that she can use for the grade level that she is teaching(7th & 8th). Once she decides, she will get a classroom set for free as well.
Looks like I'm gonna start some reading:
Anthem We The Living The Fountainhead Atlas Shrugged
How did she get it for free? Ayn Rand is the High Priestess of Selfishness and Pride, but free is good.

I just read that ol' Sammy is getting sued by a woman he mentions in the book. She's claiming that he broke a confidentiality agreement they had over an affair they had back in the 80's. She said the kid was Sam's, he says it wasn't. Hilarity ensued. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

I can't remember, as I finished the book (which was outstanding) last May. Kid???

| I dunno. Here's what I read... - Quote :
Sammy Hagar has been sued by a woman who claims he violated a confidentiality agreement between them in his autobiography, Red: My Uncensored Life in Rock. Iowa's Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports the woman, a former Playboy bunny identified in court documents only as Jane Doe, alleges the agreement was violated by the former Van Halen frontman when he discussed meeting her in the late 1980s. He denied he was the father of her child and claimed he was the victim of extortion.
As part of the agreement, Hagar was required to pay her support during the pregnancy. The child died shortly after birth.
Hagar is attempting to move the case to a federal court in Cedar Rapids because the woman and the rocker live in different states. She lives in Iowa, and he lives in California. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

The cover of The Spell For Chameleon book reminds me of the lion from "The Island Of Misfit Toys" from the Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer cartoon. Actually, to me the face looks like Mark Hamill's character in The Guyver when he was mutated. There were plans to make Spell For Chameleon into a movie (somebody bought the movie rights for the Xanth series) but it looks like they've been put on hold indefinatly. Same thing for my favorite fantasy author, Terry Brooks' Shannara and Magic Of Landover series but the movie rights have expired.
