| "The Atlantis Prophecy" by Thomas Greanis - an enjoyably silly "Da Vinci Code" wanna-be about an archaeologist who has to find an ancient artifact hidden beneath Washington DC before its power can destroy the United States and possibly the world. Sounds like a Nic Cage movie. Now that you mention it, yeah, there are similarities to the "National Treasure" flicks too. - detuned wrote:

And he has one of the coolest names ever. Seriously, "Cordwainer?" That's bad-ass. You don't mess with somebody if they've got a name like that. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| Just finished reading this one to my 8 year old: Basically it's a cat version of "Marley & Me," with a similarly tear jerking ending. We both sniffled a little. Well, more like a lot. Haha. Cat people check it out. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| Just blazed through Stephen Kings Cell and it was pretty much a page turner throughout, but the ending...WTF? SPOILER: Why do these writers creat these charecters and a compelling story just to fart up the ending? No closure whatsoever. JUst MASSIVELY open ended. King could have easily dropped another couple hundred pages on this and made it an EPIC story ala The Stand.
Currently reading Joe Hill's Horns. Starting good. Main charector Ignatio awakens from a bender to discover he has "horns" and then the fun begins. Hopefully Joe won't muff this on ala King and Koontz in the end...

| Just finished A Clockwork Orange; really good book.
Now I'm reading a book called Be Here Now by some sage-like gentleman. Anyway, my friend recommended it to me, and it's pretty deep. Any of you ever read it? If so, impressions are appreciated!

That book is incredibly f*cking cool dude. Its by Ram Dass right? Its all about living in the present moment, and doing so sponaneously. The present is the only time you can act. No use wasting energy on the past or future.
