Well, I think I'm correct in saying that Gary Cherone is quite a devout Christian and the lyrics for 'There Is No God' was just him trying to see it from the other side. I am not sure he is a Christine but I agree with Smindas take on what the song is about.

| III Sides is my favorite. I bought punchline when it came out and traded soon after. I really can't even remember it. Need to give it a another try. I was stuck in Mississippi one weekend in the 90's and bought III sides (the only cd of interest among the maybe 10 cd's) and a boom box at a local store and listened to it all weekend. The TV was out in the hotel and I was stranded with the bad weather. That cd kept me company, and can't count the number of times I played it that weekend. Left the boom box, but took the cd and I still have it. | |

| Yeah, that album isn't popular. I just won the Japanese import with a bonus track off eBay for $3.99. Haha. |

Perhaps not devout, but he strikes me as quite religious in this interview; http://www.fortunecity.co.uk/madchester/trance/648/l7hm.htm Anyway, I've been listening to III Sides quite a lot this week. Fantastic album, but it's a shame there isn't a bit more of the rocky stuff from the first third - definitely my favourite part of the CD. The other two parts are still great, especially the last, but 'Warheads' and 'Rest In Peace' are hard to beat. _________________

| Everyone misinterprets "There Is No God"...it's talking about people who do actually believe there is no god...the last 4 lines sum it up:
the fool that says there is no god don't feel for that sorry sod who needs proof then he'll believe i wonder if he's been deceived

| I don't even know why it matters. The song is fantastic either way. It's like a glass of water. Add water or take some away. Still water. Still tastes the same. |

No, of course it doesn't matter. I just thought it was an interesting tidbit that Gary was looking through it from the other side, though those last few lines seem a bit cutting to atheists such as myself, haha. _________________

| Why is metal, in most of the cases, linked to religion? There are some more important issues: war, corruption, politics...I truly respect the bands who have gone beyond the stereotype devilish image... | |

| Coincidently, the wife and I watched a movie last night, Smart People, starring Dennis Quaid and that chick with the big nose and wart on her chin from Sex & the City. The end credits roll and I see across the screen "Music by Nuno Bettencourt". I thought that was interesting. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | Just got their new album at Walmart and it has some cool 70's progressive guitar going on. Nuno is a good player. | |

| Has anyone seen any clips from the Guitar Wars DVD? Nuno and Paul Gilbert make one hell of a combination. I really am surprised there isn't a bit more of a buzz around Nuno's guitar talent. _________________ | |

There was quite a buzz around him during the Pornograffiti era... but once Extreme dropped off the face of the earth, so did he. I think he may have released a solo album or two during the late 90s but they went pretty much un-noticed. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

I've never seen the dvd, but I do own the cd version of it. I got it more for the Paul Gilbert stuff though. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

I think he may have released a solo album or two during the late 90s but they went pretty much un-noticed. He released one solo album album 'Schizophonic" and formed two bands Population 1 and Drama Gods. Also he formed a band with Perry Farrell called Satallite Party which lasted one album, the album is more noted for having a Jim Morrison spoken word sample than the music which in fairness was good but it was more Perry Farrell's trip than a real band experience.

I think he may have released a solo album or two during the late 90s but they went pretty much un-noticed. He's done a couple things. Mourning Widows, Drama Gods, Population 1, and then his Nuno album, which had him looking like a chick on the front cover. He'd make a good drag queen, I think. All of those are good albums/bands, too. EDIT: Cut the crap, manny! |

Is there vocals (Nuno's or otherwise) on this or is it a instrumental gee-tar album? _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | I ended up hating the vocals big time. I had to figure out a way to rewrap the stupid thing so i could return it to the store. Gary has lost his ability to sing or something... maybe it was the terrible lyrics, check out the song "Star". http://music.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=music.Discography&artistid=15068
