NHL Season 2017-18

The Blackhawks opened the season by utterly destroying and embarrassing the defending champs Pittsburgh Penguins, 10-1.

Ryan Hartman had a 5-point night. Pat Kane was stellar, and Brandon Saad scored a hat-trick in his glorious return to Chicago uniform.

I can't think of a better way to start the season.

It's a long season but if the Penguins don't straighten their shit out, it's going to be a really long season. They have a brutal opening schedule.

What the heck was that? I'd love if they can continue like that for the rest of the season.

Unless you don't really mean beating every team 10-1 and you only imply winning more games than losing. Because that they can do. Maybe they can even win enough games.

10 to 1 would be awesome but I mean playing with that kind of intensity. Kane was on fire with his passing.

Vegas just played their first game ever and won!

James Neal is a good player and they have a decent goalie but it's a long season.

Definitely, it was a great game and I think the addition of Reeves will help protect Crosby. That night he reminded me of Dave "The Hammer" Schultz a little bit.

Great win for the Avs today too against the Bruins.

Just an FYI my teams are the Avs, Pens and Hawks.

I'm a 'hawks fan first but have followed the Avs since the Sakic years.

I hate Sakic. And Forsberg. And that entire Avs team of the late 90s.

Avsare the only CO time I like and they are off to a great start! Same with the Hawks and Pens.

Six rounds done and the Hawks are where they belong. At the top of the Central division.

The 'hawks are back to the end of last year, no fire. At least the Avs are interesting.

If early season is any indication, it's going to be Knights vs Leafs in the Cup final.

What's with the Canadiens this season? I was not expecting that collapse.
