What's not to like about the Crumbsuckers? They were Gary's prototype to what became Pro-Pain. Crumbsuckers were great, but sort of a one-trick pony. I think Gary took that recipe and expanded it with Pro-Pain. So I think Pro-Pain is better, though I do love Crumbsuckers. |

The second Crumbsuckers album was ahead of it's time in a crossover sort of way even though the vocals were one dimensional. Gary added the rap flavor on the first Pro Pain and sprinkled it on other albums as well. That is the biggest difference between the two for me.

I liked the direction Beast on my Back was going as it almost had a Megadeth type sound to some of the songs. But as for the debut Life of Dreams songs like Trapped sound more punk then anything else and I just dont like punk whatsoever. Yes Gary did take the recipe but he revised it and opened a whole new restaurant. They added tons more groove, a lot more hooks, and were just a whole lot heavier.

| I know the songs, but I also know rap, and I don't hear it. |

You don't think his vocals on Pound for Pound have a rap delivery to it? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XHIiu_AE2I

| They do, but it's like a cross between rap and hardcore IMHO. Even some of the phrases he says are "rap-ish". | |

Yeah that's what i'm talking about. Not staight up rap as in Run DMC but a mix of shouted hardcore meets rap with rappish words.

Yeah, but I've never been one to label that as being rap or anything like it. People claim that all the time. They did it with Machine Head when they put out The Burning Red. In fact, many idiots called that a rapcore album. A short, sharp vocal delivery, to me, has nothing to do with rap. Then again, I like a lot of rap groups, so maybe my opinion is different. |

| I agree with EYE here I dont think its rap, just a fast way of blurting out vocals. Now Put the Lights out on the other hand could be said as Rap. | |

There is a rap quality to it, I guess. Just in delivery. I have an issue with labeling it rap, though, in any way. Stacatto delivery happens in all styles, you know. Either way, Pro-Pain rarely does it this way. |
