Was wondering if we have any Pro-Pain fans here. Pro-Pain is in my eyes a traditional metal band with hints of Hardcore. Most ppl put them under the hardcore category but mainly that has to do with Gary Meskils lyric and vocal approach..

Pro-Pain has released 10 studio albums and there most recent release The Tenth Crusade: Age of Tyranny was released this yr and is a killer metal album..

Pro-Pain seems to be getting a lot heavier with every release.

I much prefer the old school Pro-pain it seems to have a more traditional sound and less hardcore influenced but hey thats just me.

Contents Under Pressure is one of my top 10 albums of all time....

I've got the "foul taste of freedom" disc, and I like it. I much prefer the Crumbsuckers though, which was their band before they formed pro-pain.

And it works great. There's actually two other Pro-Pain threads. =)

That said, I frickin' love this band. I think we discussed them a lot more in one of those compilation threads a while back. Either way, they're one of my favorite bands, and they have been since Foul Taste Of Freedom.

As for them being traditional metal with a little hardcore, I totally disagree. They're the true definition of metalcore. Their foundation is clearly hardcore and always has been.

I have REALLY gotten into these guys in the last 3 or 4 months. Act Of God and Round 6 are total thrashcore monsters! Uncle Saxon on this board is the one guilty of turning me on to them.

Thrashcore! Man, I'd forgotten about that term. It's perfect!

Glad you're digging them, too. They don't get nearly enough recognition.
