Slowing down. I only buy when I can. If I'm short of cash I stop buying a lot of CDs. Picked a few up today, though.
Austrian Death Machine - A Very Brutal Christmas (EP) Hundred Reasons - Kill Your Own Jethro Tull - Roots To Branches Kings Of The Sun - Kings Of The Sun Merauder - Bluetality North Side Kings - A Family Affair
All used. Cost about $25, plus another $7 or so for two CDs for Shiney. Plus, I'm at 1,074 for the year. Haha.

Never heard of them until today. It was $2.99 at FYE, of all places. Good thing 80s bands dressed like retards, else I'd miss out on a lot of cool bands I never heard of back then. I was so young, not really getting into music until the late 80s, I missed out on a lot of cool bands.
Anyway, I listened to about half the disc on the way back from the mall. Some good southern friend rock. How many albums do they have?

They have 3 records.....an Australian band too! Kinda countrified roots rock ala the Del Lords meets the boogie hard rock of AC/DC with some of the best drumming i've heard. Shiney and Toho are fans!
The second record is better than the 1st and the 3rd is better than them all, this is a great song from the 3rd record......
If you like what KOTS were on about you might wanna check out Royal Court Of China....Geared And Primed always shows up cheap used. That's if you haven't already got it yet.....

Great tune. Sounds different from the album I have, though. Did they go more hard rock after the self-titled? And Australian? Holy crap! I would have said Tennessee, or something. Somewhere in the US, at least. Crazy.

I just edited my post for an American band that was very similar to the Kings. They do have a very American sound.....they got a good push from their label back in the day but i guess it was kinda like selling ice to Eskimo's! Plus they were marketed to the Heavy Metal crowd.
They were infamously kicked off a tour with Guns N' Roses in '88. Singer Jeff Hoad kept slagging Guns N' Roses off on stage before they came on and war of words with Axl naturally happened until they were cut loose.
They kinda still went the same music wise still splitting the difference between roots and hard rock but the kinda dated 80's production wasn't there for the other two records particuarly the 3rd.

Sweet scores! That new Battlelore is a thing of beauty, if you ask me. Top 10 for 2008, easy.
