West Coast 80's Thrash v.s. East Coast 80's Thrash

So what do you prefer? East Coast Thrash like Anthrax,Nuclear Assault & Overkill or
West Coast Thrash Like Metallica,Megadeth, & Exodus? Why?

I started a thread like this earlier, but to answer its all about west coast scene in my opinion.

You just cant beat bands like Vengeance Rising, Vio-lence, Attitude Adjustment, Exodus, etc. I think the reason I think this way is because I live in Oregon which is closer and I'm more connected to that scene I guess...the punk attitude is more evident with west coast also IMO.

Grew up on the East Coast in the 80's. Saw bands like Anthrax, Heathens Rage, etc. in their club days. Bands like Anthrax. S.O.D & Overkill are some of my favorites. Gotta go with my East Coast boyz.

The Bay area is the best for me. As much as I love Anthrax and Overkill, my second favorite thrash scene is Germany. Paradox, Vendetta, Kreator, etc.

Gotta go with the West Coast. Although I really like Anthrax and Nuclear Assault, I still think Megadeth, Metallica, Testament and Exodus are better.

I agree. Plus Slayer is from the west coast too.

I can't pick. West Coast seemed to churn out more meaty sounds, and the east seemed to have thinner sounds but more sneer. They're all nice, well-behaved boys, so it's hard for me to decide.

German & Brazilian. i have no preference when it comes to US thrash.

Man, Heathen's Rage, my bro used to play the crap out of them and I loved it.

Wow. East vs. West. That's like asking me which one of my kids I love more. Tough choice, but I went with west. Bay-area thrash started it all as far as I'm concerned.

West Coast of the 2 I am choosing between. I am with MC666 though in saying German thrash!

Wow, I can't really decide this one! X_X Both the west and east coast have/had very good thrash bands and I have favorites from each one. So my answer?

I didn't vote because I perfer the Bay Area scene overall by far yet my absolute favorite band is Jersey boys OverKill!!!

West Coast.

Why?

Early Metallica.

Bay Area out of these two.Although I am not picky when it comes to Thrash.I like it from all over.Italy has a great Thrash Scene as does Brazil.

I've got to go with the West Coast as well. I respect those bands from the East Coast, especially Anthrax and Over Kill, but just too much muscle in that of Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Exodus, Death Angel, and Flotsam & Jetsam (Phoenix/close enough)

I voted for the West scene.

I prefer Overkill above and beyond the rest, so I'll say East Coast
