Thrash Opinion: West coast vs. East coast

For thrash/punk or whatever, which do you prefer: west coast or east coast?

For me I like west coast better. Something about it I dig maybe because I'm from that part of the country. For the longest time I didnt know there was a difference but there definately is something stylistically differing but dont ask me what it is.

Can't devide it to regions, only to bands. But I don't care where they come from.

Doesn't matter to me, a few of my favorite thrash bands are out of the UK actually.

I don't mind where bands are from as long as they're good, but if I had to say I'd go with the West Coast.

Rather discuss the east coast/west coast of thrash than rap's ridiculous east coast/west coast.

By the way, I don't care. If the music rocks, it's all good to me. :kickbutt:

I usually can't tell by listening what thrash is from where. If it is thrash and it grabs me then I like it. However, I do prefer thrash with clean vocals and more melody (Megadeth, Anthrax, old Testament, Flotsam And Jetsam, etc.) over rough vocals and high brutality (new Testament, Sacrament, Slayer, Vengeance Rising, etc.); but I do like both.

Plus I prefer solos from guys who practice instead of just jerk on the whammy bar.
