| Was at work yesterday under the headphones when Nightwish's - Dark Chest Of Wonders came on. "Sigh" my gutter-mind thought "They're singing about Halle Berry"! (or insert your hot Black chick of choice in there) Random stupid thoughts. Adding to that..... Listening to Once Dead the other day I kept hearing "Deep-fried Man!! Deep-fried man!" What? I look and it's Defy Man. Jeepers..... | |

| I love these things, There was one song I remember listening to (don't remember the band) called originator and every time the dude would scream "I AM THE ORIGINATOR" it sounded like he was screaming "I AM THE CHEESE-GRATER!!!!" | |

| One of the classics is Manfred Mann's version of "Blinded By The Light". Who here doesn't think he's saying "wrapped up like a douche you know, a runner in the night."? _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Oh, and another one is Ratt's "You're In Love". Every time I hear that song, my mind turns to bedroom watersports. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Metal Church - The Dark There's a line that says "I'm skakin' and I'm thinkin'", I always heard that as "I'm a chicken on a mission". |

| My mom always though Loverboy was saying Candylou instead of Turn Me Loose. Took me forever to realize how she was getting that. |

| In the song "Metal Tyrant" by Seven Witches, there's a line that goes "resilient power burning bright," which I always heard as "Brazilian power, burning bright." Even though I know it's wrong, I still sing it that way. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| Ha! I think I've learned to not look up actual lyrics in cases like this, because they lyrics my subconcious makes up are usually so much better. | |

| Nope. - Quote :
- Blinded by the light,
revved up like a deuce, another runner in the night
Still doesn't make any sense. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| The song was written by Bruce Springsteen on his first album, the lyrics are: And she was blinded by the light Cut Loose like a deuce another runner in the night Blinded by the Light She Got Down but she got down but she never got tight but he's gonna make it tonight | |

I googled the Manfred Mann version and the lyrics I posted are what came up. Regardless, neither version of the lyrics make any sense. In fact, the whole song makes no sense. Anybody else ever hear the other Springsteen song Manfred Mann covered? "I Came For You"? Those lyrics don't make any sense either. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I think the "deuce" in the lyrics may refer to the Buick 225, sometimes called a "Deuce and a quarter" in 70s slang. "Revved up like a deuce" makes more sense in that context. Makes more sense than the current slang use of "deuce!" | |

Who here doesn't think he's saying "wrapped up like a douche you know, a runner in the night."? Good One Toho.I think everybody hears it that way. I certainly did, though my best friend got a kick out of it when I told him. Good to see that I wasn't the only one. In Depeche Mode's Sound Of Silence, my mom and her then boyfriend (now husband) were convinced that the lyrics where: Everything I've Ever Wanted All I Ever Needed Is him in my arms They thought it was a queer song. They wouldn't believe me that it was here not him. | |
