Twisted Sister-Stay Hungry 25th Anniversary 2009 rerelease

I heard that if you buy the record on June 30th at a "mom & pop" record store, you are eligible to get Twisted Sister's 1984 MTV concert (uncensored). I thought that was pretty interesting.

Yea but its only select ones. The ones near me didnt have it but I also got it on Friday maybe they get it tomorrow? I doubt it. I really wanted that.

Well this was released yesterday and the reviews are universally negative. People are saying the remastering is WORSE than the original release. Bummer! I hope to have this soon, just for all the bonus material. I am bummed to hear people aren't liking the mastering though.

Yea it got a negative from me too. It doesnt sound remastered at all and the bonus tracks are complete garbage and should have just been left where they found them. I was also expecting the packaging to be a little more like a Deluxe Edition sort of thing but its just a regular double cd. I wonder how that free DVD is that some stores had. I couldnt find it.

I listened to it in my car today. I am not a fan of this modern trend to compress the crap out of the music and make it loud as possible, but this is ridiculous. The level is so low it just never sounds powerful no matter how loud you turn it up. I'm bummed!

Exactly! My car stereo is low enough as it is and this just really sounded worse. This is my first instance where I will admit that the original is way better than the remastered.

I got it on Tuesday and spun it this morning. I was not disappointed in the least but I could not discern a difference between the original and the new remaster; they pretty much sounded the same to me. I did like a couple of the unreleased bonus tracks and wonder what those may have become. I got the free DVD but haven't watched it yet. All in all, I am happy. Peace.

Reading reviews on the net, seems the mastering is LOWER than the original.

Wow I have to say I was really disappointed myself. I was looking forward to this one too!

It is absolutely the worst mastering ever (if it was even mastered) very disappointing!

Don't waste your money on this one folks sorry to say!

The liner notes in the 25th Anniversary release are cool. It's sort of a shame about the photos included through. Rather than including more photos from the Stay Hungry years, they included a few promo photos from the Come Out And Play sessions. Perhaps that is being picky, but most diehard fans know that each era of TS had different costumes.

I'm thinking the same thing. Dee, Jay Jay and Mark were on Eddie Trunk's radio show the other night talking about it and it worked. Got me pretty hyped-up about getting it ASAP. But I'll probably wait now. Those Amazon reviews were pretty brutal.

I was gonna get this.....but after all the sound quality problems people are talking about I guess my collection will be still Sisterless.

The error was corrected as soon as it was discovered, however some defective copies shipped to retail stores.

If the edition you purchased has a defective disc and you would like a replacement disc, please email Dr. Rhino (Dr.Rhino@rhino.com) with TWISTED SISTER as the subject line for further instructions.

You might have to mail them the defective disc as proof of purchase.

Maybe Phoenix and ULT will get the bonus DVD as away of an apology from the Rhino folks.

The copy I ordered is supposed to come with the dvd. The dvd is the main reason I ordered it.
