What the hell is a "Diz Buster" anyway?

I honestly don't care what it actually means, it's just a cool song title.

dizbusters is a nickname given to fighter planes in ww2 i dont know if it refers to german or american planes- i think german though-

I think you guys are making stuff up. BOC are very fond of puns. There are two Latin-based puns here. "Behind the rose" refers to the Latin word sub-rosa which means secret, clandestine, covert. Also Lucifer the Light

Lucifer in Latin means light bringer or morning star. Some Biblical scholars think Lucifer and Satan are not the same entity. They think Lucifer is a reference to the Persian King Baal aka Nimrod. Baal was considered a god so worship of Baal was a sin to early Hebrews Baal also had the title of Morning Star.

There is another sub rosa pun in BOC land. In Before the Kiss (a redcap) they sing about the "rose motif" as if it is part of a conspiracy. It was just the decor at Conrey's bar in Long Island. A place where Sandy Pearlman hung out and any kind of drug could be had, smart person, too many drugs, weird surreal lyrics.

But I don't advocate the use of drugs to anyone.
