I liked the debuts by Metallica and Kiss better than anything those bands ever did later. You just can't beat that raw energy.

On a more recent note:



Excellent, crushing debut from one of my current favorite bands. This is one of the few albums that actually could stand up beside Black Sabbath Volume 4, Pike was even able to re-create the guitar sound from Wheels Of Confusion on Last. The tracks 10,000 Years and Master Of Fists are about as heavy as you can get.
