AC/DC-Black Ice

So the new AC/DC is tentatively titled Black Ice. I hope it has the rawness of Let There Be Rock with the subject matter like Ballbreaker but AC/DC is always good no matter what.

Yeah! AC/DC is always going to sound like AC/DC. Good title, too!

I'm not too big on the title yet. To me is suggests a Back In Black II.

Nothing wrong with that.

I'll have to hear it before I buy it, which is rare for me with an established band that I like. But that last disc just really turned my stomach and left a bad taste with me.

I didn't even bother with it, I thought the title track was kinda average. I was kinda sick of AC/DC by that point anyway though, I had just gone through a big AC/DC phase and a new album would've been overkill for me.

I'll give the new one a shot though.

Same here, although I'd go back even further to For Those About To Rock. I'd have to hear a few tracks first before purchasing.

im so excited at the prospect of finally seeing ac/dc and they are rumoured to start the world tour i the united kingdom which would be very very cool

Last AC/DC album I really dug was Flick Of The Switch (25 years ago!). Most of the successive albums had a song here or there that I liked, but none of them enough for me to actually keep the album in my collection.

I'm more of a Bon Scott era fan myself.

i like brian johnson a lot actually probably more than bon scott (oh the heresy of it all) but he seems to have a really good vibe on stage where as bon was good but did it a bit more arrogantly IMo i still very much enjoy both singers though

Nope, 1 maybe 2 songs I liked off of it. Maybe one day I'll buy it.

Bon Scott era AC/DC is my favorite. Their songs went down the slope after awhile I feel. However FLY ON THE WALL was the last album I really truly enjoyed.

It's an interesting title and look forward to hearing this.

I actually like Stiff Upper Lip. Of course, I just bought my first AC/DC album last year. I did just get Blow Up Your Video a while back and I didn't care for it much. I got it through SwapaCD and nearly every song had that annoying flickering sound (like static), so I only listened through once and then tossed it. But it seemed a bit different, like they did a bit more light strumming than hard rockin.

Hopefully I get a version that plays soon.

Razor's Edge is obviously my favourite AC/DC album and I truly hope, being an AC/DC slave, that Black Ice surpasses all their previous works! ALL HAIL THE MONSTERS FROM DOWN UNDER!
