Man Dies After Drinking More Than 20 Shots Of Vodka

A Seffner man died Tuesday evening after drinking at least 23 shots of
cherry-flavored vodka in less than an hour at a bikini bar, according
to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.About 5 p.m., Eric
Morris, 26, was sitting with a friend at Angels Show Bar, 10101 E. U.S.
Highway 92, said sheriff's spokesman J.D. Callaway.
The two were playing a drinking game, Callaway said, adding that he
did not know the name of the game.After a while, the friend decided
to stop drinking, but Morris continued.

When the bartender refused to serve him any more alcohol, Morris got
up, staggered a few steps and collapsed to the floor, Callaway said.
Paramedics were called and Morris was rushed to Brandon Regional Hospital,
where he was declared dead about 7 p.m.

Investigators area waiting on the results of an autopsy to determine the
cause of death, Callaway said.

Morris was released from a Florida prison in March after serving about five
months of a one-year sentence for burglary and theft convictions,
according to the Department of Corrections.

Who goes to a bar to play drinking games? Those shots must have at least been 3 bucks a pop. He at least could have died at his home for about 20 bucks a bottle. Dumbass.

I have to wonder, what bar serves someone 20 shots? Aren't there supposed to be laws against that?

you would think it would be common sense for the bar considering theres also a law that states that if any damage occurs because of the drunk person, fines can be issued against the bar that served the drinks, at least in oregon its like that. It may be federal but I'm not sure.

I bounce part time from time to time, including rlately, and yes there are laws against that. Many bar owners don't teach their people these things.
