Anyone heard this new Hatchet covers cd?

How the heck did I miss this? I have got to get this. What do you think of it Wargod?

The reviews I've read aren't very good. Most people say MH tries to sound like the original artists instead of putting a Hatchet interpretation on the originals.

This is the first I have heard of this, I'll have to check it out. I've been a big Molly Hatchet fan for years

I like it sure they try to do it like originals but it is still MH.

I really like these guys. My fave is Lighting Strikes Twice.

These guys are playing the State Fair here in NM on the 15th. I sure would like to go.

Does the Manowar artist do their artwork? Kinda funny they use that imagery being a southern rock band.

The early covers were Frank Frazetta paintings. Not being a fan of Manowar, I have no idea if he did their covers as well.

Similar subject mater, way different art style. Frank Frazetta is the master. The folks doing the others are good artists just not at the Frazetta level. I believe Frazetta did the first 3 MH albums, then they have since picked up a few different artists, My favorite one is the cover for The Deed is Done.

Manowar have some cool covers as well but I have never really looked into who their artists were/are.

Would like to but found out this A.M. I was overdrawn at the bank, again. Looks like another weekend at home for me not spending any $$.

it was another compilation album when I saw it at the store so I didn't
even bother picking it up, with the title " Southern Rock Masters" and
low price I just figured who needs another greatest hits package, was I
wrong, now I am curious to hear it.

I'm gonna have to get this CD on-line. Cannot find it in any of the stores around town. Grrrr!

Went to see Molly Hatchet last night. Still put on a fantastic show! Even played a few covers, including a couple of Beatles songs. Was blessed to meet the band before and after the show. Very cool guys. I was honored to meet Dave Hlubeck, original founding member of Molly Hatchet.

I wish I had been able to go. Looks like they played outside, I thought it was going to inside Tingley. I haven't seen these guys since 1993

Monday night was my son's birthday and we had planned a special dinner for him. If I had checked into it more and found out it was no additional charge beyond Fair Admission I get the feeling he would have rather had a concert than a nice supper. Seems to be my run of luck as of late to miss the ones I am really looking forward to.

Doing a bit o' research on Hatchet using ult's site and others I came upon a rather humorous thing.

Apparently founding member Dave Hlubeck had been out of the band for awhile and has since returned. Anyhoo, ult has this picture up of the lineup from 2004....



...and I saw this picture a couple of places promoting the band...



I just thought it was humorous how they just recycled an old photo and just photoshopped Dave Hlubeck in.

That is pretty funny.

My copy finally arrived! I like it. There's some songs better than others, but that's to be expected on covers CD.
