Maiden Vans.....

Cool! If they had those in Chuck Taylor high tops I might get some!!

When I was in Venice, Ca this past weekend they had these in a window display at a new/vintage shop. I went in to get a pair and noticed that the t-shirts (in the worst condition possible) they were selling were 40 dollars. Didn't even ask about the shoes - figured they had to be more than I would spend.
I'm thinking I would choose the PowerSlave high-tops.

They all look pretty good. I'd like to get a pair of the Killers high-tops.

Am I the only one who expected vans with Iron Maiden artwork?

No, I've seen them before so I knew what it was.

I thought that too. I was expecting to see some tricked-out 70's vans with Eddie airbrushed on the side.

I used to wear Vans all the time as a kid. I loved going to the skate shop and being able to mix and match the colors you wanted. And they were just $25 then. Aren't they like $50 plus now? Can you still special order what colors you want?

I remember going to the Van Doren stores as a kid in the 70's and getting custom made deck shoes. They didn't make slip ons till the early 80's and I believe only after they began the high top skate shoes ? You can still get custom made ones online....I use a pair of orange/black/checkerboard slip ons to play gigs with sometmes.

I saw someone wearing them at the Maiden show last weekend.

I don't remember the slip-ons when I wore them, and that was late 80s/early 90s. Maybe I just didn't pay attention. I always had the lace-up shoes.

The custom vans I designed online and had shipped to me. I thought the orange was gonna be a different shade, but it wasn't that big of a deal

Ive seen these shoes in a magazine before, awesome stuff, I'll get the Killers high tops eventually.

I've been wearing Vans slip-ons pretty much my whole life and i gotta say those are some of the best graffix they have put out. I like the Killers and Trooper ones the best but all of them are bad.

I also have a pair of the limited addition Slayer Vans like this...

Whatever happened to that dude with the Beavis avatar who started a thread about "old school shoes?" He'd make the wee-wee of joy if he saw those Maiden shoes.

We have boys at the ranch show up with those and i'm waiting for someone to have my size.
