Angel Dust
Artillery
Equinox
Exciter
Exhumed
Living Death
Risk
Znowhite

As I am a die hard Thrash/Speed fan, I like very much bands like thoose I listed. Found them very underrated... Do you like them? Do you have any others hidden Thrash bands that are pretty cool and underrated?? Thanks!

Would you really call Angel Dust thrash? I wouldn't. Like 'em, though.

I recently got turned onto Atrophy; great stuff.

And though they're not terribly "obscure" and I was aware of them back in the day, I think I listen to more Nuclear Assault now than I ever did when albums like SURVIVE and HANDLE WITH CARE were current.

Arttie

Arttie,
The first two Angel Dust albums were thrash metal. After that they went for the power metal style most people know them for.

Yup, gotta agree with ya there on Toxik. "Think This" is definitely in my Top 10 thrash albums of all-time. I'd place it alongside such greats as "Ride the Lightning," "Bonded by Blood," "Alice in Hell," "Breaking the Silence" etc. etc.

Shame they aren't more well-known.

Not super obscure, but I would mention Rigor Mortis, too. Come to think of it, their self-titled debut would also make my top 10.

Unknown thrash is my speciality. I'll suggest:

Alligator (Italy)
Crash (Korea)
Su Ta Gar (Spain)
LawShed (Japan)
Vulture (Holland)
Usurper (Holland)

I could keep right on adding, but I'll stop there.

I have the first two Angel Dust albums...I still don't think of them as pure thrash. They do have some thrash moments, I agree, and they were pretty dang fast to be sure. I don't know...maybe I need to pull them out again.

It's nice to be on a board where if I said Toxik, Realm and Xentrix people don't look at me weird.
Although not pure thrash I think Armored Saint should get more notice.

Not that they are "forgotten", but add HIRAX to the list as well.
