| I'll admit, I've paid a pretty penny for a few of my discs, but I have NEVER gone anywhere REMOTELY near that amount. That is freakin' retarded. Especially since it is a disc that is readily available! _________________ You're cancer, you can't be the answer, you're killing me

remasters, history was violated FAR too much for my liking when Lee Kerslake's and Bob Daisley's drum and bass parts (respectively) were totally re-recorded by two other players. Yeah, I heard this was going to take place. That's the dumbest thing Ozzy (or whoever) could have done. That's just...ughhhh! LAME! WHY?!? Maybe I'll look into those Priest remasters and get the one JP album I like enough to own. Also maybe I'll check out the CM Maidens. ack

| First press every time - preferably the first press Japanese issues. Unless it is something that I have tried to get for years and they finally reissued it (ie: the first couple of Helstar albums, etc) - even then I'll still try to track down the original press.
I will admit, I got sucked into re-getting the whole Judas Priest catalog, just ot try to make the pretty picture from putting the spines together (and JP bonus tracks are exceptionally cool!). |

| I prefer originals but won't quibble if I find a remaster more readily. As long as the music is there...I'm happy. _________________ "Oh man, I need TV? When I got T Rex"

| Yeah, as long as I have one pressing of the album, I'm fine. | |

- I don't really care. I usually buy the least expensive stuff I can find.
As long as it's a legal pressing, then I fall into this category as well. Usually the bonus stuff is live or demo tracks of a song already on the album or another album or it's "lost" or "left out" stuff that was left out for a reason!! (of course there are sometimes some gems that for whatever reason get left out, but as I learned the hard way with Bride's Lost Reels...there's a reason these songs don't make the cut!!!) Part of the equation with me is that I'm not a collector, per say. I just want music for the music. It's not about rarities or unusual things for me. Part of the reason for that is $$$$$, or the lack there -of!! I do understand the collector thing, I just don't partake in the music area. (Trains are my thing!!) :gt:

A few added embellishments here and there is one thing, but to totally replace the rhythm tracks in their entirety on 25 year old CLASSIC albums? That's just going WAY too far, IMO. I boycott those versions like the plague.
Amen brother... that was a lousy thing to do to Kerslake and Daisley. If I remember correctly, they were planning to take Osbourne Inc. to court for royalties they believe they're owed for their performances on those albums but have never received... so Sharon O. obviously erased their tracks out of retaliation. Nice huh? The lesson to be learned is you obviously don't mess with Sharon O. Thankfully I have original presses of those Ozzy discs... (and even if I didn't, I certainly wouldn't buy those "remasters," I'd look for used copies of the originals)...
