I don't know you. You're dead to me. Amen to that. The Office is funny as h-e-double hockey sticks. |

I don't know what you do for a living Eyesore, but if you work in an office, it may help see the humor. Too many life-imitates-art moments. I not saying you have to work in an office enviroment to get it, but it sure helps.

| Out of those, UK. But I actually have to say that Norway has created my best comedy memories ever. KLM & Prima Vera are my favorites. _________________ | |

I've tried to watch it many times and I've never even smirked. I'm not even kidding. I've watched the UK version on BBC America and I think that version sucks, too. |

| Man, there's now enough of the US - The Office - that I've got them just a knotch below Seinfeld, and that's saying MUCH. Anyone who knows me knows how Seinfeld permeates my life. The Office' writing is so incredible and the actors have it down cold. It's "uncomfortable humor" or "awkward humor" as I call it, but I can't get enough.
I admit, I don't laugh out loud like I do with Seinfeld - The Office is much more subtle I think, but it's right up there. I can't imagine any show actually surpassing Seinfeld (for me) but if The Office has at least 2-3 more strong years it will be up on the podium with Seinfeld for best-ever honors.

| For me, The Office is right below M*A*S*H and Hogan's Heroes. I don't think I've ever seen a better TV show than M*A*S*H though Hogan's Heroes does come close. | |

| M*A*S*H is in my Top-3 and if I was able to catch it in syndication a lot I'd probably just put it in a two way tie with Seinfeld. It's the first Sitcom of my youth that I really "got". Sanford & Son, Barney Miller, and some others were good to great but MASH was awesome. Good call! | |

| As far as American sitcoms go my favorites are: 1. Night Court (tie) Newsradio (I still get ticked off that NC is not getting anymore seasons on DVD-you can't base sales of future season DVDs on only the first season, especially Night Court which didn't take off til the 2nd or 3rd season) The rest NOT in order: Sienfield Everybody Loves Raymond Alf Sanford & Son Get Smart Beverly Hillbillies F-Troop The Adams Family Fresh Prince Of Bel Air Wings In Living Color (not a sitcom but still a favorite) Police Squad (too bad it only got one season) Prime Time Cartoons: Simpsons Family Guy The Critic Futureama Duckman | |

| One of my favourite shows ever is an Irish sitcom Father Ted. I don't know if you guys in the States have ever got a chance to see it over there, but it's funny as hell. |

| I know this thread went askew - but the poll was just for comedy "Troupes" - ala, skits or sketch comedy. Although, some of the tv shows you guys have brought up have been awesome!! |

| I only voted for UK because I love MP so much (I like Benny Hill but not near as much). If MP didn't exist then I would have chosen USA because of these great skit shows:
Carol Burnet Show (Tim Conway is a comical genius) In Living Color (Fire Marshall Bill, Homey The Clown, The Irish Singer, Anton Jackson, Calhoun Tubbs, Seamus O'Shanty O'Shame, and others..what's not to love?) Saturday Night Live (after Hartman, Farley, and others from that era were gone it went to crap, though I do love the Jeopardy skits) Johnny Carson (not actually a sketch show but he did a lot of skits-my favorite has him in a Viking costume acting really feminine and yells "I'm Thor!" They say "your Thor?" "I thertainly am!" and grabs his back)
