I like the Mount Salem record. I'm on a self imposed three week record buying hiatus after the Uncle Acid saga! But if the CD is still available then, I'm gonna get it

On the stoner/psychedelic side of the spectrum I enjoyed listening to the new Uncle Acid album Mind Control. It kind of sounds like Vol. 4 with The Beatles making a guest appearance.

The band is The 13th Passenger, but in reality it's just one guy from Sweden, but there are plans for a live band.

Yeah Demon Lung are a good band. Seen them a few times now. They always play here but I have been busier than hell and only have seen them a few times. We (AoB) just played with them in March.

Anyone here coming to Vegas for the Doom In June fest? This year the bands on the bill are The Skull (ft Eric Wagner), Manilla Road, Demon Lung, Karma To Burn, Ancestors, Las Cruces,
Castle, Snail, Ultra Electric Mega Galactic (featuring Monster Magnet's Ed Mundell), Dali's Llama
Albatross Overdrive, Megaton and Spiritual Shepherd. I'll be at this one.

This thread is a treasure - I'm jotting down loads of bands I've never heard of. The Wish for one. I love doom metal. I think Black Widow were the first to create it, though Sabbs do get the accolades for it.

I can't really agree as I probably haven't heard 10% of them, but this is a very, very good album, lots of straight up late 70's metal to go with the doom.

Also found out the other day that Elliot's Keep have a new album slated for released this summer/fall. This will be their third album, and if it's anything like the first two, it'll rock!

Thought I'd post this for the vinyl junkies here that the awesome Bloody Hammers S/T debut is getting a 2nd vinyl press (I'm delighted about this as I thought that I'd got a first press, only to be told a month later that the stockist didn't actually have any! )

Plus, there's a second album in the works, not out till Oct, but this is the cover

Not traditional doom overall, but it's there. Fans of Katatonia would probably love these guys.
