For me that is Annihilator's "Alison Hell". Forget about sub-genres and such, this track has it all! It's fast and furious, yet with lots of emotion and drama. It is also a varied composition that will take the listener on a joruney. The music also compliments the lyrics well, and vice versa. Just the pefect metal tune!

Therion - "Blood Of Kingu". Great metal vocal and guitar mixed with orchestra and choirs. This is one off my all time favorite songs period!

I do agree that annihilator is one of the best speed metal bands out there, in special that song.

Checked out the Therion tack. I've not heard that band since their first or second album. I liked this track, but I could have done without the female opera vocals.

Therion changed quite a bit from their early death metal days. Personally, I love their melding of symphonic elements with metal. But the operatic vox are precisely why I warned Uncle Saxon away from the band in the Nightwish thread...
