I am a Christian. Have never hid that fact. I trust in Jesus and my Lord and Savior. I believe he is who he said he was and that he died on a cross for my sins. Because of Him, my life has changed for the better. I agree 100%, nothing more to add to that. I was a stone cold sinner for 26 years and have been a christian for 13 and I'd never go back. Christians are still "sinners", they are just repentant. _________________

| Well I'm a catholic and go to mass most weeks (unless there's something better to do like go to watch the local soccer team), I don't shove it down anyone throat and don't expect it to be shoved down mine.
Yes I believe there is a God but I truely don't swallow all that is being preached from the alter, There have been times in my life that I cursed God from morning to night and there have been times that I have thanked him (not so much recently), The Lord has taken away to two most sacred people I have ever and will ever cherish... my two Sisters (my twin Kelly in a car accident and my younger sister Karen through Suicide) for these actions there shall never be forgivness.
And speaking of the church, the locals priests over here (the ones over 40years old anyway) have a lot to answer for, my secondary school (from when your 12years old to 17/18 years old) during the late '80's early '90's was ripe with paedophelia with the Priests that teached there and run the school (it was an all boys school).
I was there from '89-'94 and since that time 11 guys who were in that school during them 5 years have died by their own hands, of course all the folks and parents would never believe their child when they were told what was going on, it was the Devil and all that Rock music that you all listen to (yea Bon Jovi can really warp the mind you know !) a priest is a man of God and how dare you say such things etc....... so where could anyone turn ? the local Bridge that's where, believe me the Girls didn't get it any easier, they were also abused by Nuns and Priests.

| I'm a "Cradle Catholic" and I'm raising my children likewise. I realize that's pretty unpopular lately, yet I continue to practice my faith. The priests and nuns and sisters I have known have been inspirational to me. I truly believe good and evil are found all over the world; in every religion and denomination. It's up to us to choose right over wrong and to follow in the footsteps of Christ. I find strength and support at Mass every week, although that's not the only time and place I do so. I believe that is the importance of "organized" religion. Unity and a sense of belonging are vital to most human beings and if we can find unity in the worship of Jesus Christ, how can that be a bad thing? As long as worship is the reason for coming together, it can't be wrong. |

| I'm not a follower of any type of religion. I was raised methodist and as a boy, I went to sunday school and church every week. But once I became a teenager I began to question it. I'm not a follower anymore, there's just so many matters in life that contradict the Bible. I don't rule out some greater force at work but, the simple answer is I honestly don't know. I don't knock religion though. I think it's great if you can find something to believe in and as long as that religion promotes a positive life, I'm all for it. But I just don't feel it myself. That said, I don't think there's any one "true" religion. Being kind to others and yourself is about the best you can do in this life, I think, and if you can do just that I think you'll end up just fine. Knowing that, any all-powerful, all-knowing God will surely have the insight to accept you with open arms when your time comes. | |

| I am not religious and I don't believe in any Gods at all exists. But I do not have a problem with Christianity except for REALLY uptight people on that situation. As long as you don't preach to me and bash bibles over my head til I believe I won't have a problem with you. |

Besides, that would hurt, especially if they are using those big 'ol Bibles that some people carry around. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| I'm just going to post the Apostles Creed because it sums up Christianity for me and my beliefs:
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. AMEN.
See that the word "catholic" is not capitalized and means "universal" and is not reffering to the Roman Catholic church. Peace out.

| I am a Christian. Thankful to be. And Ult's post sums it up for me too. But how did I get there? I sure didn't always feel that way-grew up with a nominal mom, a slightly fanatical dad, and the rest of my family was somewhat more active but didn't pursue me on it one way or the other. my father says I accepted Jesus at age four, but??! Church bored me to death so I read Revelation a lot cause it was the most interesting part of the Bible. as a teenager I was dabbling in witchcraft, and I cast horoscopes (life charts not predictions) and read tarot cards. continued to think and say I was a Christian but didn't live or act like it much... at age 19 I got a bit prodigal and rededicated myself, but still slid all over the place for a couple years. then, right before meeting my future husband at age 23 I really got a grasp on things and realized I didn't want to be who I had been. ever since I've been growing up, year by year. it hasn't been easy. but it's been a wonderful adventure so far and I am absolutely blessed in every way. |

| I'm a Christian. I believe that Jesus was and is God in the flesh and that His death paid a debt I never could. And while I despise hypocrisy, I like and appreciate organized religion and denominations. You just have to take the good and ignore the bad. Locky's experiences are sadly, too common, but I have gotten a lot of benefit out of going to church and fellowshipping with other believers. | |

:lol!: I know like the one's the priests have at church. OUCH! Yeah I have been to church because when I was at my friends house they went to church and I went because I wan't to stay at his house longer. Funny thing was I was wearing Metallica or Megadeth shirts. Good thing it wasn't my Possessed shirt. |

I believe God IS unconditional love, and that is what humans should strive towards, as everythig else should fall into line behind that. The rest is all opinion and lip-service. I agree whole heartedly! I am a member of a Baptist church but, unlike some Baptists, I don't believe that people of other Christian dominiations are unsaved (i.e. Catholics). And when someone asks me what I am I will say a Christian not Baptist.
