Back in the day, one of my college friends got me on video playing "Master of Puppets" on a kazoo. (Do I have to mention that I was, shall we say, slightly inebriated at the time? Haha.) He sez if I ever run for public office he's going to post it on YouTube. I live in fear of that video re-surfacing.

I like Saxophones in music like Huey Lewis or Glenn Frey but not so much in metal.

I always liked the brass parts in Guardian's Shoeshine Johnny, but that was more hard rock than metal. Other than that, though...

It all depends on the arrangement, could be the most awesome thing on the planet...but I've yet to hear anyone truly get it "right".

Was just listening to Crimson Glory's STRANGE & BEAUTIFUL for the first time in awhile and had forgotten that there's a saxophone solo in the midst of the track "In The Mood" -- it's not a particularly great song anyway but the sax just made me go "ARRGH! So not metal. AWAY WITH THEE SAXA-MA-PHONE!"
