| I picked up an Ensiferum album recently and really enjoy it so i've been looking for other bands in this vein. I haven't liked what i've heard too much of Korkiplaani and Eluveitie but Turisas and Tyr really interest me. Anybody have their stuff and what do you think? |

| I have all that stuff you mentioned and its all really good. Turisas are awesome!!
You should check into more folk style bands. A list of some really killer ones are:
Svartsot (Denmark)
Folkearth (all star band from many countries)
Elexorien (Netherlands)

| I haven't heard Turisas but have heard Tyr. Tyr didn't do much for me. | |

| I havnet heard anything you mentioned besides the name of Ensiferum. Theres A band called Wintersun that was started by an Ensiferum member. I dont really know Ensiferum, but maybe their similar? Wintersun is a blend of Melodic-death/folk styles. | |
