Again, this is not meant to be an insult towards AC/DC, so don't treat it as such. They never really changed their sound is all I'm saying.

That was due to Steinhardt leaving and Elefante writing a majority of the songs (Livgren only wrote 3 songs on that album).

Anthrax from Persistence of Time to the Sound of White Noise was a drastic change.

Anyone here old enough to remember how pissed off Judas Priest fans were when Turbo came out? The synths, the poofy glam hair...that album has aged okay though, sounds better now than it did at the time. But I remember buying it the day it came out and thinking WTF?

The fans in "Heavy Metal Parking Lot" seemed to still love Priest.

Destruction changed after Schimer's departure.

Sweet - many, many times.

From bubblegum pop, to glam rock, to a glam/heavy metal hybrid, to prog, to who-the-hell-knows-what-they were-thinking.

By the time of their last two albums in the early 80s, they were doing some sort of half-assed new wave.

I mean I love this band, and think they made some of the best music of the glam rock era, but I don't know where their heads went afterwards.

Change of vocalist has turned the music around. Not bad but I liked the old sound, very unique. The death vocals don't belong in this music IMO, take that out and this would be perfect (closer to real power metal than Euro-power).

UFO from their first two album to Phenomenon was a HUGE overnight change, thanks to a young guitarist name Micheal Schenker.
