New Chris Caffery Song!

The new track is "Pins And Needles," and it's awesome! He's channeling that early Savatage stuff BIG TIME on this song. Damn! I can't wait for this album now.

"In The Midst" is new, too. A nice little instrumental.

sounds like it may be pretty good, judging by what was sampled there.

It's great that this finally sees the light of day. His "old" record company went under, so this has been delayed a bit.

This sounds more like Doctor Butcher then Savatage though, which is not a bad thing!!!

I've heard bits and pieces off the album thanks to the wonders of BitTorrent. Tracks like Sixty Six are just monstrously insane. I may very well pick up this album. I also still need to check out Doctor Butcher...

To be honest, everything connected to Savatage—Jon Oliva's Pain, Doctor Butcher, Caffery's solo stuff, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and Circle II Circle—is excellent. You really can't go wrong.

Recently acquired this CD - Pins and Needles.... . This is great stuff!! At points reminding me of Nevermore, Megadeth, even Ken Tamplin/Magdalan and who knows what else, this CD over all just amazes! I love the versatility. This man shreds and knows how to write a really good song.

Definitely some great stuff. Glad you like it! Do you have the first album? Or should I say the three versions of the first album? There's Faces with the bonus CD called God Damn War. But then there's W.A.R.P.E.D., which was basically Faces and God Damn War, minus a few tracks, but including a few new tracks. Haha. Definitely a damn pain, but luckily Chris Caffery is not popular at all and you can find the Faces/God Damn War and the W.A.R.P.E.D. albums together for less than the price of a retail CD.

Saw Chris open for Doro a couple months ago, also he was lead guitarist for her while she over here!

PMO is my favourite Caffery track. It's that sort of hilariously bitter and angsty concept that amuses me. I mean, everything pisses Chris off. It's genius

I found this album to be a letdown.

That's the point, man!

I didn't care for the rest of the album though. If it's not early Savatage, it's not to my liking.

Doctor Butcher, Caffery's Faces, and Jon Oliva's Pain just didn't work for me.

Been listening to this again....man, it's so good!

he seems like a nice enough guy, but his solo material never really hit me.

Just found out that Chris Caffery recorded with Dirty Looks on the original recording of "Turn of the Screw", but the recordings were not released, and the band re-recorded everything. By the time they re-recorded the album Chris had gone back to Savatage. Hmmmm.... wish I could hear those original recordings now.

Yeah Ult, that's interesting. I wouldn't figure him to be playing with them.
