| I think I have done this on here somewhere before, but it's cool, I'll play along. This is in no particular order, cause that would take me all day and cause me a headache. So, here goes:
Judas Priest - Painkiller Whitesnake - whitesnake Fates Warning- No Exit Y&T - Meanstreak Dokken - Tooth and Nail Iron Maiden - Piece of Mind Riot - Thundersteel Twisted Sister - Stay Hungry Vanhalen - VH2 Queensryche - The Warning
That was hard, but fun! | |

| Can't I just take my 80GB ipod? It has all my music on it already! And whoever said there was a player on this island? If not, why not pick some covers with naked ladies on it or something? | |

A little interesting nugget for you guys: in the 70s, my grandfather was Randy Bachman's wife's gynecologist. My grandfather likes to say he had a hand in Bachman's success..... |

| Come to think of it, if I was stranded on a desert island I would bring Nickelback and Simple Plan albums.......
.....it would be motivation to get out of there! |

So just pick a cd each day, and then we'll kill you off on the 11th day.

| I am not sure I can do this, but I will give it a shot, great and interesting choices everyone: 1) This was the first rock band, the first album and my first rock hero in the figure of Bon Scott. Angus plays like his ass is on fire, Bon sings like his life depends on it and every lyric he sings sounds like he has lived. 2) Not as ground breaking as their earlier work, but The Doors bring back to earth, reclaiming themselves as a rock band. Morrison's lyrics are more personal on this go around, " Peace Frog" reference the civil on unrest of his era, " Blood on the Streets its up to my ankles. Blood is the rose of mysterious union" Sings of Roadhouses, sun reclaiming the day, and his own relationship with Pam even referenced, " No one can save her/Save the Black tiger/He is a Monster/Black Dressed in Leather' in Queen of the Highway and references his grandfather in Land Ho, who like the rest of the Morrison clan was a sea merchant. 3) This album is so filled with debauchary that you need to enter a 12 step program just for listening to it. This period of the Rolling Stones career make Motley Crue look like Pat Boone, this album is filled with classics such as Rocks Off, Just want to see His Face and their version of Slim Harpo's " Hip Shake" great album. 4) Marc Bolan credited his own world view and managed to influence his contempories such as David Bowie and whole glam movement that would follow his brief period of T.Rextasy. " Metal Guru" " MainMan" and other classics with his simple riffs and off the cuff lyrics, this album is a thing of beauty. 5) I am huge Alice fan and maybe I should have choosen Welcome to My Nightmare or Billion Dollar Babies, but to hell with it this my island. I love this album, this is Alice on a flight of seagrams who made a new wave album the way new wave should have sounded, if new wave hadn't sucked. 6) Maybe the first real punk album, it says produced by David Bowie. Bowie trying to convience this cannabis group of trailer park refugees to make a coherent musicial statement. Thankfully David Bowie failed and what we have left is an album so far of its ahead time that at time critics had to consult a thesaurus just to found new words to insult this album. Iggy Pop and his band of Stooges swan song also served as their mission statement. 7) Why this album by Jimi Hendrix? Because this is the only album that offers audio proof that God exists. Incredible songwriting, incredible singing, this album kicks ass and is one of the cornerstones on the birth of heavy metal. Nuff said. 9) Features one of my favorite axe slingers Michael Schenker along with vocal great and underrated sparing partner Phil Mogg. Very cool album which would influence a group of would be guitartist to get off stage and to move back in with mother do some more woodshedding. If you are going to play with the big boys and you better suit up for the game. 10) My island I can choose any Sabbath album I like. Underrated classic slab of metal, rumor is that Tony Martin was so influenced by Ronnie James Dio that Iommi offered to buy him shrinking pills to complete the transformation. Great songs and great performances from the man himself Tony Iommi and Tony Martin making his debut appearance with the true prince of darkness. ask me tomorrow I am sure I would choose 10 different albums that have little incommon with the albums I choose, for god sake I left off The Cure, Queen and list goes on and on and on..... | |

| Like i said with Shiney.....i'll have to swim over sometime Manny. Great list.
It pained me to leave off both the Stones and Stooges, but i feel right cause i included a record that splits the difference between the two with a bit of a nod towards The Doors, Alice Cooper and AC/DC as well.....the Beasts Of Bourbon's Low Road. Which i nickname "Exile In The Funhouse"!
