Decline of the Western Civilization Part II will be on IFC this morning at 10:10 am EST.
Setting the VCR for this one. But we need a freakin' DVD release of this! It'd be great if Spheeris would do a follow up, either on the bands that were featured in part II or about the newer sleaze/glam bands.

Shoot. If I'd known about this before I left the house, I woulda set my DVD recorder.

Oh well. I still have my VHS copy from back in the day. Would be nice to have it on DVD though.

Yeah, I just woke up about 30 minutes ago and saw it on the digital cable listing. It's coming on right after 'Darkon'. Anyone see that documentary? Laughing very hard

I was never able to get my hands on an original copy. I used to rent it a lot from Blockbuster, but I missed the boat while working at another video store because during that time, the local Blockbuster sold off a lot of their VHS including Decline II.

Last I checked a few years ago on Amazon and eBay, it was pretty expensive. But oh well, a recorded copy will do me just fine until the DVD is released.

Yea, last I looked "Decline II" VHS tapes were going for about $100 on eBay... I was tempted to unload mine when I saw that but decided to hold onto it...

Obviously I got the deal of the century when I found mine (still sealed) in a record store bargain bin for $2.98 about ten years ago! I got Armored Saint's A TRIP THRU RED TIMES VHS for the same price on the same day. One of my best dumpster diving scores ever!!

Does anyone remember the guy who had dark hair, blue bandana tied around his forehead, a (I think) blue shirt, may have been white and he had a silver necklace? He was on it a lot and was one of the guys who said he was definitely gonna make it, dropped out of school in 7th grade, has never worked a day in his life because working sucks, etc...

Who was he and what band was he from? If they said it, I must've missed it. I'm pretty sure he wasn't in any of the performing bands though.

....i heard Penelope screwed a few of the bands on there out of some $.(meaning they didn't get paid...or didn't get paid enough).It would have been nice to see both "London" and "Odin" at least get on the soundtrack disc.IRS should have signed both bands.

I actually have a London disc, short through only 4 or 5 songs. I'll definately be recording this though. I never did get the chance to get the VHS although I think I still have my beta copy of it. I still have the soundtrack though

What disc of LONDON are you talking about??? I have their 3 albums and a promo maxi cd but dont know about a mini-lp or mini cd.

I used to have a cd by D'Priest, which was an album put out by Nadir D'Priest, lead singer of London. If I remember correctly, it may have had a few London songs on there that were re-recorded by Nadir and his band. While I don't recall much of it, it must've been lame cause I got rid of that disc years ago.

It's something Lizzie Grey sent me, the tracks are also on the Spiders & Snakes release "London Daze". I got it because Nigel Benjamin does vocals on it, and I'm a hug Mott fan. I had no idea there were other cd's out though

Was that called Playa Del Rock? I used to have that on cassette. It was OK, but nothing special.

I think NIGEL was the first singer of LONDON but doesnt sing on the 3 official LONDON albums. This is what i found:

Yeah, this is just a promo they recorded when him & Nikki Sixx were still in the band. I've also got what he did on the soundtrack for Rocktober Blood, good stuff.

Ive got that "Playa Del Rock" --Excellent Disc! "Russian Winter" was a London tune-it was used in Decline) As for the 2 London albums "Don't Cry Wolf" and "Nonstop Rock"-They were vinyl and cassette only releases,any cds floating around out there are unofficial boots.Wouldn't mind having those discs however -boot or otherwise.......i thought Nadir's vocals on Steel Prophet's "Beware" were absolutely killer !

This was on again yesterday. During one of the interviews, the director asks Alice Cooper if anyone rips him off. He says something like "I won't mention any names, but the initials are *bleep*". His response is edited out. My 1st thought might be WASP, but I don't think his lips match up. Does anyone know what band he named?
